Priyanka Chopra recently praised Hrithik Roshan and his father, Rakesh Roshan, for their inclusive approach to the film industry. In Netflix India’s docuseries ‘The Roshans’, Chopra highlighted how the Roshans create opportunities for those outside the film fraternity.

“They make their table longer,” Chopra stated, emphasizing their commitment to inclusivity. “They pull in people like me, who didnβt grow up in the industry, and create opportunities. So that itβs not just them who are benefitting from what theyβve been able to create. I really admire that table doesnβt stay small.”
Chopra’s admiration stems from her own experiences in Bollywood. Having worked closely with the Roshans in the ‘Krrish’ franchise and ‘Agneepath’, she understands the challenges faced by outsiders in the industry.
During her 2023 appearance on Dax Shepardβs podcast, Priyanka candidly discussed the struggles faced by those without industry connections. “You know they are multi-generational actors that come in and get multiple opportunities versus the ones that come in from outside. You donβt have your uncle making a movie for you just because your last one tanked, right? You have to get it and you have to hustle for it,” she noted.
Priyanka acknowledged the pressure she felt as an outsider, stating, “It was a concern. I got into production because of that actually. But I was terrified when those six movies didnβt do well because Iβm not a nepo baby. I didnβt have that kind of support that exists in a big way in Bollywood movies.”
