KTM has officially launched the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure S in India today, January 30, 2025. The company first showcased this updated model at IBW 2024, generating significant excitement among adventure motorcycle enthusiasts.
As of now, detailed specifications are yet to be fully disclosed, but the 2025 390 Adventure S is expected to be lighter, more powerful, and more technologically advanced than its predecessor. The bike features a new trellis frame, which improves agility and overall performance. The teaser images showcased a 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheel setup, confirming its off-road capabilities.
Engine & Performance Upgrades
KTM has refined the engine setup in the 2025 390 Adventure S, integrating a new 398.63cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 46PS and 39Nm of torque. This powertrain is paired with a 6-speed gearbox featuring a bi-directional quickshifter and a slip-and-assist clutch.
Electronics & Advanced Features
KTM has also made significant changes to the electronics architecture of the 390 Adventure S. The company has reportedly optimized the number of control units, making the system more efficient and responsive. The updated traction control system, cornering ABS, and ride-by-wire throttle contribute to a more refined riding experience.
In terms of features, the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure S will retain most elements from the previous model but will also introduce an all-new TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity. The latest software update ensures a more intuitive UI and better navigation integration. While adaptive cruise control and radar-assisted safety features were teased, they might not be implemented immediately.

This new model will compete against the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, Honda NX500, BMW G 310 GS, and Yezdi Adventure.
